A Coruña is preparing to host three outstanding triathlon events on July 1 and 2.
The emblematic Plaza de María Pita will be the setting for national and international competitions, including the Spanish Triathlon Championship in Olympic distance, Paratriathlon World Cup and the fifth appointment of the national circuit Pho3nix Kids Triathlon Series by Javier Gómez Noya.
A weekend full of triathlon
The program of national Triathlon competitions in A Coruña will begin on Saturday 1 of July with the tests of Pho3nix Kids Triathlon Series by Javier Gómez Noya.
The Pre-Benjamín and Benjamin categories will have their starts at 11 a.m., Alevín at 11:30 a.m., and Infantil and Cadet at 12 p.m., in each race with distances adapted to the categories.
In the afternoon, the paratriathletes participating in the Paratriathlon World Cup tThey will start at 15:XNUMX p.m.
The CSpanish Triathlon Championship Elite category Olympic distance will complete the first day of FETRI competitions in A Coruña 2023, with the women's start at 18:15 p.m. and male at 20:20 p.m.
A Sunday of intense competition
On Sunday, July 2 from 8:30 a.m. the National Triathlon Age Groups, and during the morning the races for the national medals of the youth categories, with the women's start at 11:45 a.m. and masculine at 12:30 p.m., and junior, at 13:15 p.m. the female start, and at 14 pm. the masculine.
Last year's champions
In the 2023 Olympic distance Triathlon Spanish championship, held in Banyoles, Sara Guerrero, from Náutico de Narón, and David Castro, from EQTR Rodacal Beyem, prevailed in their respective categories.
Sara Guerrero prevailed by just one second over Cecilia Santamaría, while David Castro prevailed over Jordi García, 21 seconds away.
