Gustavo Rodriguez and Dolça Ollé Spanish Champions of Long Distance Triathlon 2016

Today the last Spanish triathlon championship has been played, in long distance on the Island of Ibiza in the distance C: 4000m of swimming, 120km of cycling and 30km of running, the victory has been for the subchampion of 2015 Gustavo Rodriguez and 2014 runner-up Dolça Ollé.

 

Gustavo was the first to cross the finish line followed by Ángel Salamanca and Ariel Hernández. In women after Dolça was second Victoria Juanicotena and third Alba Reguillo.

 

The race started on time at 8 in the morning, the 2015 champion Carlos López was the first to arrive at the T1 with a 56 time: 23 and a few seconds of it they did Angel Salamanca, Ariel Hernadez and Alberto Reig. The Fidalgo cycling segment hunted López and made almost the entire sector together, until Carlos had to retire at the end of cycling due to stomach problems (Many cheers!).

The race on foot was where everything was decided, Fidalgo held on for the first kilometers, but Rodriguez gave chase and passed first by km14, after Fidalgo was second with many problems ... and was overtaken by several triathletes in the last kilometers . Finally victory for Gustavo Rodríguez with a time of 6: 21: 06, second was Ángel Salamanca with 6: 27: 56 and third Ariel Hernández with 6: 29: 28.

 

Dolça Olle Champion Spain 2016

 

In the women's competition Helene Alberdi was the first to arrive at the T1 with a 1 time: 04: 49 and almost 5 'of it was a trio formed by Victoria Juanicotena, Juliana Villasante and Dolça Ollé. From the first kilometers of cycling the catalan Ollé was hunting Alberdi and was leading the T2 with 5 'advantage over Juanicotena. While the Basque Alberdi did almost 9 'of the leader. In the race 30km Sweet increased the advantage and took the victory with authority with a time of 7: 22: 11, second was Victoria Juanicotena with 7: 35: 16 and the bronze medal was for La Mancha Alba Reguillo who made the feat of the day, recovering more from 25 'the race on foot.


At the same time the Half Triathlon of Ibiza belonging to the Spanish Cup was held, in the men's category it was first Jordi PascualAccording Nacho Villarruel and third Javier Cardona. In the female category won Sara Loehr (which was 7ª of the total general) followed by Anna Noguera and Ana Revilla.
