The European Duathlon Championship canceled

The ETU has announced that the Duathlon European Championship that was to be held on August 15 in Alsdorf (Germany) will not be disputed due to the situation of the pandemic in that country.

It is the second time in a row that the POWERMAN Alsdorf together with the European Duathlon Championship it has to be canceled.

The new date April 10, 2022

The organization has chosen the new date for the test, it will be the April 10th 2022 so the POWERMAN Alsdorf returns to its original date: the second weekend of April.

All registered participants will be automatically transferred to the new race date in April 2022.

"ItIt's hard to find the right words. Our disappointment is huge, as we firmly believed in a successful execution of the event.”Explains race director Patrick Thevis in a release

"Until the last minute we concentrate all our efforts to ensure that the event can be carried out safely and in accordance with the current conditions of Covid-19".

The organizer received the official statement from the health department: “According to German guidelines, sporting festivals and sporting events of any kind cannot take place before 1 September. 

If the organizer can postpone the event until September, a local incidence of 35 or less is absolutely mandatory. "

These and other statutory requirements make this year's POWERMAN Alsdorf impossible to organize.
