The TritonWorld World Championship is coming to Portimão this October

From 24 to 26 October, Portimão will be the stage for the highly anticipated 2025 Triton Series World Championship.

This event, which will be held under the innovative format TRITON 3, will bring together elite triathletes, classified amateurs and corporate teams for a weekend full of emotions and unique challenges.

What are the Triton Series?

With its two main formats, TRITON 1 (classic triathlon in a single day) and TRITON 3 (three days of competition, one per discipline), these series have revolutionized the way of competing in triathlon.

The TRITON 3 format: three days to demonstrate maximum performance

The TritonWorld World Championship will use the format TRITON 3, distributing each discipline on a different day:

  • Friday: Swimming (1 km, 2 km or 3 km depending on the distance chosen).
  • Saturday: Cycling (36 km, 72 km or 108 km).
  • Sunday: Race (7 km, 14 km or 21 km).

In this format, accumulated times determine the winners, maximizing performance in each segment.

An expanding world circuit

The Triton Series They stand out not only for their world championship, but also for their ambitious 2025 circuit.

Tests in Brazil, UAE, Greece, China, Egypt, and Spain are already on the agenda, consolidating their global presence. These events will be qualifiers for the World Championship in Portimão, guaranteeing a first-rate competitive level.
