The European Championships in Pamplona exceed 800 entries

Pamplona celebrates this coming May 17 the tenth edition of the Half Triathlon Pamplona Iruña, an event that includes the CEuropean Championships in Middle Distance Triathlon, Aquathlon y Aquabike.

With just over two months to go until the event, participation figures have already exceeded 800 registrants, surpassing all initial forecasts.

Pamplona, ​​the epicenter of the European triathlon in May

The Navarrese capital will host up to three continental competitions, consolidating its position as one of the most important triathlon events of the year.

Saturday afternoon will be the highlight with the simultaneous Middle Distance Triathlon and Aquabike events, where amateur and elite triathletes will compete in a unique atmosphere.

Tenth anniversary of the test 

The circuit will maintain its classic format: a 1.900-meter swim in the calm waters of the Alloz reservoir, just outside the Aritzaleku campsite; an 85-kilometer bike ride through spectacular Navarrese landscapes; and, to finish, a foot race through Pamplona's iconic historic center, the traditional setting for the San Fermin festival.

Popular and professional athletes together in competition

A special attraction is that amateurs and elites will share the courses and the excitement of the event.

This will allow amateur triathletes to experience a unique experience alongside leading figures in European triathlon, fostering an unparalleled atmosphere in the city.

High international participation in Pamplona

Significant foreign participation has already been confirmed, especially from Great Britain, although representation from virtually all of Europe will be present.

The organizers hope to surpass 1.000 registrants, breaking previous records and establishing this edition as historic.
