Ai Ueda (JPN) is another of the athletes who will seek to get on the podium. The Japanese, a multiple WTCS medalist throughout her illustrious international career, took the bronze medal in the equivalent event at the 2023 Multisport World Championships in Ibiza.

Similarly, the athlete from the Solomon Islands, Louisa Marie Middleditch, will be one of the favorites, with the number 1 number and a title of African duathlon champion, obtained in her last international participation in April.

However, the athlete to watch closely is Marion legrand (FRA). The Frenchwoman is the current European champion, after a masterful performance in Coimbra earlier this year, defending the title she had won in 2023.

The duathlon format works in her favor, and Legrand presents herself as a formidable opponent in the women's race.

Men seek their opportunity in the duathlon

In the men's race, Emile Blondel Hermant (FRA) wears bib number 1 after his fourth place at the European Duathlon Championships in Coimbra earlier this year.

The Frenchman returned to the international scene after a long absence at last year's Long Distance Duathlon World Championships, where he finished second. Now, in a shorter format, he is going for gold.

Your compatriot, Benjamin Choquert (FRA), will be a difficult rival to overcome. Choquert took the silver medal at last year's Duathlon World Championships.

In the absence of last year's champion, Mario Mola, Choquert starts as a favorite for victory.
