The legendary Pálmaces triathlon celebrates its silver wedding anniversary and reaches its XXV edition

As every year, the Castilian-La Mancha test presents an exit list with some of the best triathletes in Spain.

This coming 28 Saturday in July at the 16: 30 will be held the XXV edition of Triathlon of Pálmaces, in the small town of Pálmaces de Jadraque (Guadalajara) of only 40 inhabitants (INE 2017) with its classic format of 1.800 m of swimming, 60 km of cycling and 12 km of running.

As it always does with a luxury sign, you could say it's like a "Championship of Spain of distance Pálmaces". Swimming takes place in the Pálmaces reservoir of Jadraque and consists of a triangle meters of 1.800 to which there is only one round.

El Cycling consists of a tour of 60 kilometers that goes from the boxes in the T1, in the place where the swimming takes place, and a round trip to Atienza, ending in the town square of Pálmaces, where the T2 is located.

La walking race of 12 km It is carried out with two laps to a circuit of 6 km, in a round trip from the town square to the house that is a few meters before the reservoir dam.

The favorites

In the male category, the main favorites are Gustavo Rodríguez and Miguel Ángel Fidalgo, last two winners. Special mention for Moving away Santamaría recent winner of the Full Triathlon of Vitoria, several times podium in the Pálmaces Triathlon highlighting his victory in the La Mancha test ... 20 years ago.

 Other great triathletes aspiring to the podium as the international Ramon Ejeda, Pakillo Fernandéz-Cortés, Victoria Raso, Diego Paredes, Ariel Hernández, José Almagro. We must also mention the participation of the multiple duathlon world medalist Emilio Martín, who will start in Pálmaces his way to the 70.3 of Cascais. Finally, they are registered Luis Miguel Velasquez y David Castro, although its presence is not confirmed at 100%.

The favorites

For its part in the female category participation will not be as numerous as in other editions, but a duel is expected to three between three champions of Spain: María Pujol, Paula García Godino y Laura Gomez
