Cassandre Beaugrand leaves the UK and comes to Spain to train
Cassandra Beaugrand, The French woman who conquered the Olympic gold in Paris 2024, has confirmed that he is starting a new chapter in his career.
After training in Loughborough (United Kingdom) for two years, the triathlete has decided to move to Girona (Spain) with a view to the 2025 season.
This move represents a significant shift in the career of the young star, who will seek to continue growing surrounded by an environment conducive to high performance.
A rise forged on British soil
Beaugrand's recent history is marked by his time at Loughborough. There he prepared for the Paris 2024 Games cycle, perfecting his technique and endurance under the guidance of specialised coaches. This training centre, renowned for its infrastructure, was his base for reaching the podium in numerous events leading up to the Games.
The Frenchwoman, who had temporarily left her home to adapt to a tough routine in the demanding British climate, found in Loughborough a high-level environment that honed her virtues as a swimmer and runner.
Olympic success in Paris 2024
The pinnacle of all that dedication came at the Paris Olympics where Beaugrand, at 27 years old, won Olympic gold on home soil.
The French public was thrilled with her victory, which was celebrated as one of the most memorable moments of the event. A few months later, the triathlete rounded off the season with the World Champion title in the final of the World Triathlon Championship Series circuit, held in Torremolinos.
The decision to change of scenery
2025 began with an announcement from the French company: Beaugrand is leaving Loughborough to return to enjoy a warmer climate and an environment closer to the Mediterranean.
The athlete herself shared on social media that she needed “some sunshine” to face the new challenges. She pointed out that, although her time in the United Kingdom was fruitful, the transition has not been easy, since she leaves behind friends, coaches and a system that took her to the top of the Olympic podium.

His story therefore continues in Spain, where he will join the PTC Coaching training group, led by Glenn Poleunis.
