Challenge Almere will be European Championship of LD Triathlon in 2019

Challenge Family has announced that Challenge Almere will host the European Triathlon Championships in 2019.

In the absence of less than 1 month for the Challenge Madrid, which will be the venue this year, the franchise together with the ETU has announced that one of its most emblematic events and the oldest triathlon in Europe, the Challenge Almere  (to 20 minutes from Amsterdam) will be responsible for crowning the European Triathlon Champions in format long distance 2019 the year.

Challenge Almere already has a extensive experience hosting championships as it did in 1985, 1991, 1999 and 2006 (all under the name of Holland Triathlon), and in 2014 and 2017, under the name of Challenge where it was also the European Long Distance Championship.

In 2017, more than 3.500 triathletes participated in the competition. The test is held at 20 minutes from Amsterdam and it is expected that more than 30.000 visitors will be cheering the participants along the flat course.

This year the test has 4.000 triathletes and will be held on the weekend of the 7, 8 and 9 in September.
