Challenge Madrid, the toughest Long Distance European Championship in the 21st century

The 23 of September in Challenge Madrid will become the center of European triathlon with the celebration of the European Long Distance Championship

Madrid will be the first large European capital to host a European Long Distance Championship, in the challenge of the Challenge Family circuit to celebrate some of its competitions in capitals such as Lisbon, Rome or Madrid, a unique way to bring the triathlon to the general public and also a unique possibility offered to the participants to compete in big cities .

On the other hand we have been analyzing all the Long Distance European Championships that have been held to date and we can safely say that the Challenge Madrid will be the hardest European of the 21st century and in the decade of the 90 only the test held in Embrun in 1993 has the hardness of Challenge Madrid.

La swimming will be in the Reservoir of Riosequillo in Buitrago de Lozoya will be 3.800 meters. In this installation, the T1 will be assembled, a transition place from where the bicycle test will start.

From there, a final ascent to the Cuesta de la Vega, which becomes Calle Mayor and then entrance to the Puerta del Sol where the goal will be located.

The "Kilometer Zero" is the place where all the main roads of Spain begin and thousands of thousands of spectators provide you with the experience of your life when you almost go flying when crossing the finish line.
