Gloria Challenge Mogán Gran Canaria opens inscriptions.

The third edition of Gloria Challenge Mogán Gran Canaria will include three participation categories: the medium distance, the short distance and the relays.

 

 

The competition of the middle distance It will include 1,9 kilometers of swimming, 90 kilometers by bike and 21 kilometers of race. While the Short distance You will have 1,9 kilometers of swimming, 40 kilometers of cycling and 10 kilometers of running.

The relays, in which teams of 2 or 3 can participate, people in female, male and mixed categories, will compete in the medium distance mode.

The organization of the event has designed its route with your departure and arrival at the beach of Amadores, in which environment will also be held the swimming section. On the bicycle and footpath routes, an itinerary is planned in which participants can see first-hand the beauty of the spectacular coast of Mogán. A) Yes, the route will be similar to that of the 2017 test edition.

The triathlon elite chooses Mogán

The beach of Amadores and the coast of the municipality of Mogán will once again become the Saturday 21 of April of 2018 on the world stage of triathlon.

The triathlon test Gloria Challenge Mogán Gran Canaria is consolidated as a premier event in the triathlon, having reached in the 2017 edition a participation of more than 400 triathletes of different 24 nationalities.

Among the participants of the 2017 edition were the main names in the elite of the world triathlon, as they are  Alistair Brownlee, winner of the 2017 test, double Olympic and two-time world triathlon champion, Emma Pallant, winner of the 2017 edition in the female category of the 2017 test and finalist in several Ironman tests, Daniela Ryf, double world champion, Mikel Elgezabal, champion of Spain long distance, Natascha Badmann, six times world champion in the Ironman of Hawaii, Catherine Jameson, ninth in the world championship last year and Daniela Sämmler, European champion, among others.

The edition of 2017 also had the participation of the Prince of Bahrain, Nasser Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who chose the event held in the municipality of Mogán to compete in one of his favorite sports, the triathlon.
