Changes to the cycling circuit of the Peguera-Mallorca Challenge

El Challenge Peguera-Mallorca, one of the most prestigious triathlon events in Europe, has announced a change to its cycling route for the 2024 edition, which will be held on October 19.

This adjustment to the circuit responds to the primary objective of the organization of improve security of the participants and offer a route that is not only safer, but also more attractive and spectacular.

El new route, consisting of two 45 km laps, eliminates the narrowest sections with dangerous curves that had become an additional technical challenge in previous editions.

These changes have been the result of thorough planning and close collaboration with local authorities, especially the local police.

Challenge Peguera-Mallorca cycling circuit

Notable changes include: Elimination of two-way traffic on narrow roads, which in previous editions had represented a considerable risk, and the Elimination of sharp curves on fast sections, which had been a source of concern due to the lack of escape routes in the event of a fall.

The Peguera-Mallorca Challenge has established itself year after year as one of the best events on the European medium-distance circuit and in the Challenge Family franchise.

As for the host city, Calvià, is a top tourist destination in Mallorca, famous for its crystal-clear beaches, its rich history and its vibrant range of sporting and cultural activities.
