CHALLENGE PEGUERA MALLORCA takes action against covid-19

The organization CHALLENGE PEGUERA MALLORCA, medium distance triathlon that will take place on October 17, 2020 in Peguera (Mallorca), have sent us a statement, explaining the measures they have taken to combat Covid-19

This is complete statement:

From the organization of CHALLENGE PEGUERA MALLORCA  We are committed to taking all measures within our power to try to repay the trust that athletes from around the world place in our event year after year.

For this reason, the reason for this communication is to inform about the special measures that the team of CHMALLORCA related to the evolution of COVID19 and the organization of the event, in order to favor our athletes and also to improve the development of the event.

The measures are as follows:

1.- GUARANTEE FOR PARTICIPANTS AGAINST THE EVOLUTION COVID19 IN THEIR COUNTRY OF RESIDENCE

The CHMALLORCA organization is committed to refund one hundred percent of the registration to all those registered who as a consequence of the evolution of COVID19 in their countries of residence, do not allow them to travel to Mallorca on the dates of the event (confinement measures, travel restrictions in country of residence, or related flight cancellations with COVID from destination to Mallorca).

This measure will apply, regardless of whether the participant whether or not you have cancellation insurance hired.

2.- GUARANTEE AGAINST LACK OF TRAINING CAUSED BY THE EVOLUTION OF COVID19

If, as a consequence of the evolution of the COVID19, in the country of residence of the participant it is not possible to carry out the necessary training to face CHMALLORCA20 with guarantees, we will offer the participant 2 options:

1.- Transfer your free registration to CHMALLORCA 2021 which will take place on October 16,

2.- Cancel registration regardless of whether or not the participant has cancellation insurance.

3.- WARRANTY IN CASE OF CANCELLATION CHMALLORCA2020

If, as a consequence of the evolution of COVID19 and its collateral effects in our country, we are forced to cancel CHALLENGE PEGUERA MALLORCA 2020, we will refund one hundred percent of the registration to all participants and we will create a 20% discount code for each of them, applicable for registration to CHMALLORCA 2021.

4.- PLAN OF SUSTAINABILITY AND CARE FOR THE ENVIRONMENT

We launch a ambitious plan aimed at reducing environmental impact that produces the event in the zone.

The development of the plan has as long-term goal to make the test XNUMX% sustainable.

In this first year of application, more than 20 related measures with: reduction of plastics, reforestation of the environment, increase in the use of biodegradable materials, inclusion of awareness-raising activities or agreements with entities that work in the same line, among others.

5.- COLLABORATION PLAN WITH ENTITIES OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES AND GROUPS AT RISK OF EXCLUSION

We launch a project aimed at giving visibility, integrating into the organization and helping various entities that work to care for with disabilities or at risk of social exclusion.

In this area, among others, the following actions will be carried out: donation of funds to various entities, integration as personnel assigned to the event to with disabilities, donation of materials necessary for people with fewer resources, or outreach activities of the work of these entities.

From CHMALLORCA we are aware that we cannot predict what will happen in the coming weeks or months regarding the evolution of COVID19.

What we can continue to do is work to ensure that the athletes who bet on us feel proud of having chosen us and that our community benefits from being part of this event.
