El European Long Distance Triathlon Championship of the European Triathlon Union (ETU) will be held at the DATEV Challenge Roth next July 4, 2021.
For the first time in history, the German and European title fights will take place during the same race at Roth.
A few weeks ago, Roth was also awarded the 2021 German Championship by the German Triathlon Union (DTU).
This means that German and European professionals and age group athletes will not only fight for victory in DATEV Challenge Roth, but also for the German or European crown over the distance 3,8 km swimming, 180 km cycling and 42,2 , XNUMX km of race on foot.

There will be an extra slot allocation for the European Championship.
200 of the 3,400 Slots have been reserved for the ETU and will be delivered to national associations.
All athletes who have already registered for the DATEV Challenge Roth 2021 in Germany and Europe and are selected by their national federations will be able to participate in the European Championship.

This is not the first time that Roth has hosted the European Championship. In 1987, Detlef Kühnel and his team organized the title fights in the middle distance.
Challenge Roth was once again the venue for the European Championship in 2012 when Rachel Joyce (GBR) and Timo Bracht secured the victories.
