Challenge Salou makes a solidarity event for Alzheimer's

Yesterday, Sunday, September 27, coinciding with the day that the international triathlon was to be held CHALLENGE SALOU, which was canceled due to Covid-19, its directorJuan Fernandez, He has done the same test circuit alone, a medium distance (1,9km swimming, 90km by bike and 21km running) in favor of the solidarity challenge Challenge x l'Alzheimer.

The test has started with the swimming section from the beach of Salou. He then took the bicycle to complete a round trip to Tarragona on the C-31B highway.

To finish, he has completed the section of running on foot that has taken him to the very goal of CHALLENGESALOU, in Plaça de la Comunitats Autònomes.

The Challenge x l'Alzheimer is a solidarity challenge that tries to promote social awareness towards a disease still unknown to many people, but at the same time so widespread.

The main objective of this challenge is raise the maximum amount possible through different actions.

The contribution will go entirely to the Rosa Maria Vivar Foundation so that they can acquire a cognitive interaction screen.

 One of the actions of the Challenge x l'Alzheimer is the one carried out by the event organizer in Salou.

Juanan's purpose was to make a personal donation of € 1 for each minute that the test will last. Finally, he has crossed the finish line in a time of 4 hours, 50 minutes and 6 seconds.

About the Rosa Maria Vivar Foundation

The Rosa Maria Vivar Foundation is a non-profit organization that was born from the desire to provide people with Alzheimer's disease in the province of Tarragona, a day center specialized in non-pharmacological treatment, based on cognitive stimulation, through a new warm, welcoming and bright space.

 The additional objective of the Fundació is to establish the material and human resources for the economic management of the Center.
