Kristian Blummenfelt and Gustav Iden double at Challenge Samarkand

El Challenge Samarkand, held this weekend in Uzbekistan was the event where the Norwegians met again in competition Kristian Blummenfelt y Gustav Iden.
In a race marked by heat and the technical difficulty of the circuit, both athletes demonstrated why they are considered two of the best triathletes in the world.
The German Rich Bogen He led the first few meters, coming out of the water in first position with a time of 22:48, closely followed by Blummenfelt e Iden.
In the cycling segment, 86 km, it was Kristian Blummenfelt who set the pace. Despite facing a mechanical problem, he was able to overcome it and reach T2 alongside his compatriot. Gustav Iden
Rich Bogen, although he led at the beginning, could not maintain the pace on the bike and began to lose ground against the Norwegians.
The last 21 km of the run were a real spectacle. Blummenfelt, known for his powerful race, recorded a time of 1h13'52”, distancing himself from Iden, who crossed the finish line almost three minutes later.
Rich Bogen, despite fighting for the podium for much of the race, had to settle for third place, 3:53 behind the winner.

In the women's category, the event had a clear dominator: Laura Madson.
The Danish triathlete dominated the swimming segment with authority, coming out in first position, maintaining a solid lead over her competitors throughout the race.
Her final time of 3:58:34 gave her more than 12 minutes ahead of the Polish Martha Lagownik, who achieved second place.
The French Justine Guérard, who had left the water just 20 seconds after Madsen, could not keep up and finished third, 20 minutes behind the winner.
