Sport, which has an indisputable importance for health, must also begin to gain importance as an element of economic and tourist promotion.

From our area, we seek to maximize the performance of each event so that its impact benefits a greater number of inhabitants of the province.”

Jose Hidalgo, president of the Spanish Triathlon Federation, added: “From the FETRI, we have always been clear that betting on sport, on triathlon, is a safe bet not only for sports practice, but also for economic growth, tourism , sustainability and even the fight against depopulation.

These great events allow thousands of people to get to know places in Spain that find in our tests a national and international promotion that is difficult to achieve in other ways.”

Ciudad Real, with its rich history and numerous tourist attractions, is an ideal setting for this type of event.

The city offers a variety of sites of interest ranging from its impressive Cathedral of Santa María del Prado to the Tablas de Daimiel National Park, a natural gem that attracts nature lovers and sportsmen alike.

In addition, the city has excellent sports and accommodation infrastructure, which makes it easier to organize large-scale events.

This new event will not only put Ciudad Real on the national and international triathlon map, but will also provide a unique opportunity for residents and visitors to enjoy a high-level sporting spectacle.

Local authorities and FETRI are working hard to finalize the details and ensure the event is a resounding success.

The next few months will be crucial to define the scope and logistical aspects of this event.

The collaboration between the Ciudad Real Provincial Council and the Spanish Triathlon Federation is a clear example of how the union of efforts can lead to great achievements in the sporting and economic fields.
