Club La Santa: A year of competition and growth in Lanzarote

It leaves an economic impact of almost 19 million Euros in 2024

The balance of 2024 was very positive for Club Santa, which consolidated his status as one of the great sporting figures in Lanzarote, the Canary Islands and throughout Europe.

Its five international competitions and more than 600 weekly activities contributed to generating nearly 19 millones de euros in the local economy, thanks to the arrival of more than 440.000 guests to its facilities throughout the year.

Economic Impact of Nearly 19 Million in 2024

The five international competitions organized by Club Santa were a key element in achieving a Total impact of 18,7 million euros in the island's economy.

The ambition of Club Santa The new season is not stopping. In 2025, sports betting is growing with tests that are already a reference and with other events that continue to evolve.

The calendar starts this week with the 23rd edition of the 4 Stage MTB Race, an official UCI race consisting of four stages over varied terrain that showcases the island's unique beauty.

This year, the programme has been modified to take place from Thursday to Sunday, in response to requests from participants.

Major Events: IRONMAN, Vuelta Ciclista and More

La Santa Volcano Triathlon Club (May 3)

Known for being the oldest triathlon in Spain, the Volcano Triathlon will be held again two weeks before the Club La Santa Ironman Lanzarote.

It offers a 1,5km swim, 40km bike ride and 10km run, ideal for testing your strength at the Olympic distance before taking on longer challenges.

Club La Santa IRONMAN LANZAROTE(May 17)

It will be the Edition 33 of a test that brings together more than a thousand international athletes.

In 2024, it had participants from 55 different nationalities. In 2025, in addition, offers qualifying places for the VinFast IRONMAN 2025 World Championship in Nice (men's category) and for Hawaii (women's category).

Lanzarote Cycling Tour (October 5 and 6)

Following the success of its first edition, this cycle-tourism event is back to tour the island's seven municipalities.

It is included in the UCI's 'Cycling for All' programme and will once again bring together elite athletes and amateur participants in a single peloton. The first stage will be 115 km long (5 October) and the second, 74 km long (6 October).

The Commitment to Night and Long Distance Races

Club La Santa Night Run (November 22th)

One of the most festive events on the calendar. With 4 and 7 km routes for adults and distances adapted for children, it combines sport, music and gastronomy under the Lanzarote night.

Lanzarote International Running Challenge (November 23 to 26)

Four stages on a variety of surfaces await the off-road riders.

The first route will be 10 km on asphalt, the second 13 km around a volcano, the third 5 km on the beach and the fourth 21 km, combining asphalt and dirt.

This unique format requires the athlete to adapt to each environment and demonstrates the rich landscape that Lanzarote offers for running.

Club Santa aims to make 2025 another benchmark year for sport in Lanzarote, thus consolidating the economic and tourist success achieved in 2024.

The support of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, the seven town councils on the island and other collaborators means that more and more athletes choose the island to enjoy competitive and active leisure experiences all year round.
