The spectacular Alpe d'Huez Triathlon week begins

More than a hundred triathletes will represent Spain in this international event. Marcel Zamora in distance "Short" and Albert Moreno in "Long" start as favorites.

 

 

One more year the mythical port of Alpes it will be filled with color to receive the fence of a thousand of participants who will meet during this week full of Triathlon, which began on Sunday 27 July with the test of duathlon and that it will hold triathlon events during the days of Wednesday and Thursday Short Distance and the so-called Long Distance.

 

Representing Spain and as featured triathletes we can count on the presence of Marcel Zamora that will compete over distance Shorts next Thursday and that will have the exit to the 14.00 hours, and with the young Albert Moreno that will compete over the distance called Long on Wednesday with departure to the 09: 30 from Lake Verney. Other featured triathletes that will take part in the starting line will be Joan Ruvireta, Richart Calle and Diego Paredes in Short and  Pakillo Fernández, Alberto Casillas, Alberto Bravo, and Ana Rovira in LD, among others.

 

Maider Gaztañaga and Aimar Agirresarobe They also started as a Spanish trick in this event, due to injuries they will not be able to participate, not preventing this from being able to count on their presence "from the other side of the pits" where they will be cheering and sharing the day with the rest of the participants.

 

As an interesting fact for the Spanish public, from the organization they send us a communiqué where it is remembered that this appointment will have a Briefing in Spanish to be held Tuesday at 21.00 hours in the Palace of Sports of Alpe d'Huez.

 

The press conference prior to the competition will take place today Monday 28 at 16.00 hours in the same place.
