With 90 years, beat the record of the 400 meters on track

Marcos Bermejo broke the world record of the 400m with a time of 1: 43.08

The Cantabrian athlete Marcos Bermejo of 90 years old beat this past Tuesday the world record of the 400m for 90 over years with a time of 1: 43.08 in the World Indoor Master's Degree held in the town of Torun (Poland).

Marcos has achieved the new world recordl of his category (90 years old) in a final with four participants where he has taken the gold medal, beating the second classified Greek Konstantinos Chatziemmanouil by 13 seconds

The time invested in completing the 2 laps (200 meters each) was 51.53 in the first and 52.55 in the second to complete the 400 laps with 1: 43.08.

The previous record is held by the Italian Ugo Sansonetti (1: 46.78) achieved in 2010

3 will still participate in more tests in the Torun Master World Championships, specifically in 60 meters, 200 meters and 800 smooth meters in the coming days.

Mark Bermejo's record has not been the only one that has been achieved in this competition since Rosa María Escribano  managed to equal the record of the German Christiane Schmalbruch in the long jump for over 60 years with a jump of 4.58m
