Gomez Noya, Mario Mola and Fernando Alarza at the head of the Spanish army at the New Plymouth World Cup

After the victory of Mario Mola Last week in Mooloodaba, the second round of the ITU Triathlon World Cup lands in New Plymouth (New Zealand) this coming 23 Sunday in March.

 

This World Cup will take place over sprint distance, with 750 m of swimming, four laps (20 km in total) cyclists and ending with 5 km, divided into three laps, on foot.

 

 

The competition will see the debut in the ITU 2014 competitions of Javier Gómez Noya, who will be accompanied by the recent winner of the Mooloolaba test, Mario Mola.

 

Together with them, we will also have Fernando Alarza, Vicente Hernández, Çesc Godoy y Jesús Gomar. All of them will have to face rivals like the French David Hauss o Laurent Vidal, to the Swiss Sven Riederer or the US triathlete, Kaleb Vanort, among others.

 

In the female category, they compete again Carolina Routier y Tamara Gómez, who will try improve their positions in Moololaba. In this competition, highlights the return of Helen Jenkins and Jodie Stimpson, the New Zealander who runs at home, Andrea Hewitt and the second classified in the first stage of the World Cup, the American Katie Hursey.

 

The women's competition will start the 12: 00 local time (0: 00, peninsular Spanish time). While the male elite will start from the 14: 00 hours (02: 00, peninsular Spanish time)
