Judith Corachán and Francisco de la Paz will be at the Mediterranean EPIC Triathlon 2025
The 4th edition of Mediterranean EPIC Triathlon , which for the second consecutive year will host the Spanish Long Distance Triathlon Championship, will feature the two current Champions : Judith Corachán and Francisco de la Paz, who will compete again in Castellón seeking to reclaim the title achieved in 2024.
Francisco de la Paz: the young man who surprised everyone
At just 22 years old, Seville-born Francisco de la Paz proved in 2024 to be one of the most outstanding emerging figures in national triathlon.
His victory in the last edition of the Mediterranean EPIC Triathlon, in Oropesa del Mar, helped him to win the national title and put him on the map for the general public.
In the men's category, we will also be able to count on other high-level names such as Nacho Villarruel, who in the last edition climbed onto the podium in third place; Carlos Aznar; Pello Osoro; Gonzalo Fuentes; Guillem Rojas and Ramón Ejeda.

Judith Corachán: experience in the elite to defend the crown
Judith Corachán will seek her fourth Spanish Champion title on May 24, after those achieved in the 2021, 2022 and 2024 editions.
In addition to his victories in the IRONMAN and Challenge Family circuits , his record includes the silver medal in the Long Distance Triathlon World Championship in 2019 and in the Middle Distance Triathlon European Championship in 2022.
“ I don’t usually dig into the archives, but the occasion warrants it ,” she wrote on her social media this past weekend.
“ There’s no better motivation than receiving a call telling you they want you on the team and are waiting for you with open arms. Now it’s my turn to do my part to arrive in the best possible condition .”

An unmissable event for triathlon lovers
Mediterranean EPIC Triathlon will not only host the Spanish Long Distance Championship, but also the Spanish Aquabike LD Championship, which will be held on the same day, May 24.
The test includes options for all levels:
- Saturday: FULL and HALF triathlon, and Aquabike LD and MD.
- Sunday: Olympic and sprint distances, more accessible for recreational athletes.
In addition, the competition offers €10.000 in prize money, which will be divided equally between the male and female categories of the FULL distance.
With its epicentre in Oropesa del Mar and Cabanes, the Mediterranean EPIC Triathlon is not just a competition, but also a celebration of sport, with activities for the whole family, concerts, food, and its characteristic post-race atmosphere.
