Josef Ajram has won again, for the fourth time in a row, one more stage of Epic 5. This extreme sporting challenge, consisting of completing 5 ironman in 5 days in a row, takes place in this its second edition on 5 islands of Hawaii. The island of Maui has hosted this fourth stage.
The Spaniard completed this fourth ironman in 12 hours and 15 minutes. The emotion is evident in his words, concise but exciting, a few minutes after reaching the goal: "This is wild."
Josef suffered acute knee pain from kilometer 3 in a marathon with multiple slopes, which did not prevent him from remaining the leader of this challenge never before attempted.
The test began with swimming in Kamaole Beach, to continue with the bike tour and finish with the marathon. "Today we have swam hard, we have been at a fast pace on the bike and the marathon has been tough, but my mood could not be better."
Under a cloudy sky, 52% humidity and an average speed of almost 24 kilometers per hour, the five participants had to complete this penultimate stage, in which the rain finally gave a break.
Today the fifth and final stage will take place, which is presented as the most exciting of all and which will take place on the fifth island of Epic 5: Big Island
