Josef Ajram has once again won, for the fourth consecutive time, one more stage of the Epic 5. This extreme sporting challenge, consisting of completing 5 ironman in 5 consecutive days, takes place in this its second edition in 5 islands of Hawaii. The island of Maui has hosted this fourth stage.
The Spanish completed this fourth ironman in 12 hours and 15 minutes. The emotion is evident in his words, concise but exciting, a few minutes after reaching the goal: "This is wild."
Josef suffered acute knee pain from kilometer 3 in a marathon with multiple slopes, which did not prevent him from remaining the leader of this challenge never attempted until now.
The test started with swimming in Kamaole Beach, to continue with the bike tour and finish with the marathon. "Today we have swum with force, we have gone at a fast pace with the bicycle and the marathon has been hard, but my mood cannot be better".
Under a cloudy sky, 52% humidity and an average speed of almost 24 kilometers per hour, the five participants had to complete this penultimate stage, in which the rain has finally given a break.
Today will take place the fifth and final stage, which is presented as the most exciting of all and which will take place on the fifth island of Epic 5: Big Island
