It begins with the opening of the inscriptions the countdown of the sixth edition of Desafío Doñana

Today, the inscription process opens 

El Doñana Challenge 2015, which will be held next September 19, has begun the countdown to its sixth edition, with the opening today of the registration period to participate in the test. The competition, organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport is one of the toughest sporting events of resistance held in Andalusia, and for the sixth time it will go through the Doñana national park, one of the most important ecological reserves in Europe.

The competition, whose new motto is'Do you accept the Challenge?', is a test of resistance composed of three sports disciplines: cycling, swimming and running, is unique within the sector's offer, and its uniqueness is determined by the different order and distance of the disciplines; travel that runs through places and environments of singular beauty; and with the added difficulty of the tides and currents of Guadalquivir river in the swimming segment.

The winners of the last edition, Elena Aguilar and Sergio Cruz, have confirmed their participation in 2015, in which they will try to revalidate their title of champions. Aguilar stressed that "the Challenge is a test that has given me many satisfactions, which I love for the environment, the people, the competition format, etc.".

"What you feel during the event is happiness, every km on a bike, in which you have to be attentive to the starts, getaways and changes in the peloton. After swimming with half salty flavor, looking for the shore. Finally the race on foot through the sand, with seagulls, the sea, the pine forests, unparalleled, spectacular. This year I want to enjoy it as in the two previous editions and if I could repeat a much better victory, "said the Granada triathlete.

Sergio, for his part, has pointed out that the Doñana Challenge "is a test that I love because the format adapts very well to my duathlet conditions and in last year's edition I enjoyed it a lot. In addition, one of the things that I value most about this test is the organization and the work of the volunteers, who worked with you at every moment, it was incredible ".

The Sevillian triathlete also stressed that the opening of the registrations seven months in advance "is quite a success, because it allows the triathletes to plan the different competitions and it will surely mean an increase in the number of participants in the Challenge".
