Rivas devils double in the National League of Duathlon Clubs

Imps from Rivas signed the double in the National League of Duathlon Clubs both male and female after winning brilliantly in the last of the seven league matches, the Spanish Duathlon Championship by Mixed Relay.

Saltoki Trikideak was also awarded the third day of the National League of Triathlon Talent Clubs, which will continue in the coming months with the specific triathlon tests for the cadet and youth categories, by winning the Mixed Talent Relay and prolonging the dominance that it already demonstrated in the first two days, held in Alcobendas, with the Relays and the Contra Team Clock.

Imps from Rivas wins the Spanish Mixed Relay Championship

The Diablillos Rivas women's team appeared on the last day of the League with the title assured, but the men's team was forced to achieve a good result in the Mixed Relay to secure the first place.

A victory for Cidade de Lugo Fluvial and a fourth place for Madrid would have meant that the league trophy would go to Galicia, but there was no option.

Exciting race with several changes of leadership between relays and even between segments, with Diablillos always close to the head and from less to more in conflict, first with Cidade de Lugo Fluvial, then with Saltoki and finally with Prat Triatló 1994.

Iván Gil, fourth reliever, in a fantastic sprint achieved victory for Diablillos, the national championship title, and more than enough points to be league champions also in the men's category.

Behind Diablillos de Rivas, the Cidade de Lugo Fluvial and Montilla Córdoba Triathlon were classified in the First Division of the National League of Men's Duathlon Clubs, which profited from their victory in the national duathlon by Clubs played on Saturday by sneaking onto the podium from fifth place.

The fourth place went to Saltoki Trikideak, and the fifth to Isbilya Sloppy Joe`s, who arrived in Valladolid as the leader. Below ADSevilla, Hinaco Club Ciclista Monzón, TriTrain4You Málaga and TriInfinity Móstoles occupied the relegation places.

In the National League of First Division Women's Duathlon Clubs, the Devils of Rivas achieved a more comfortable victory, with the Cidade de Lugo Fluvial in second position and Saltoki Trikideak in third.

Fourth was CEA Bétera, and fifth was Prat Triatló 1994. The last four places were for Triathlon Las Rozas, ADSevilla, Montilla Córdoba Triathlon and Tri-Penta Terras de Lugo.
