The Covid-19 pandemic in Europe continues to devastate sport, this time it has been in the United Kingdom with the cancellation of the IRONMAN 70.3 Weymouth and the Super League Triathlon from the Isle of Jersey

IRONMAN has published on its social networks the statement explaining the cancellation of the test that was to be held on September 20.

 "Given that the health and safety of our community is a top priority, and after further discussion and direction from Weymouth City Council and Dorset City Council in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic, we regret to confirm that the IRONMAN 70.3 Weymouth was originally scheduled for September it cannot take place in 2020 and will return in September 2021. ” Explain the organization

With regards to Super League Triathlon, the test that was to be held on the island of Jersey on the weekend of September 19 and 20 will not be played either.

"The Super League, together with the Jersey government, has made the difficult decision to cancel this year's event due to the continued uncertainty surrounding COVID-19..” They comment in a release.
