The 2nd Diego Paredes Duathlon opens registrations

The town of Coria will honor one of the pioneers of triathlon in Extremadura with the celebration, on March 21, of the second edition of the Duathlon Diego Paredes, which will also be the Extremadura Sprint Duathlon Championship.

This test, valid for the Fextri League ranking, It will have a first 4,5-kilometer running sector, a 20-kilometer cycling segment and a second 3-kilometer running sector, as well as a 390-meter link.

Maximum of 150 people

The Caurian competition, which will bring together a maximum of 150 peopleIt will start at 11:30 a.m. and will maintain all the anti-covid measures imposed by the Extremadura Triathlon Federation.

At the award ceremony, which will take place at the Puerta del Perdón around 13:15 p.m., a trophy will be awarded to the best three in the general classification and a medal to the first three locals.

As for the Extremadura Sprint Duathlon Championship, an economic prize will be awarded to the three best in the absolute category and the best team, and a medal to the rest of the categories.

The first will be until March 12 in which the federated will have to pay 18 euros and the non-federated 24.

In the second period, which will run from March 13 to 16 until 14:23 p.m., the price will be 29 euros for federated and XNUMX euros for athletes who do not have their federative license.

Registrations will have to be formalized through the website of the Extremadura Triathlon Federation. After the deadline, no more registrations will be accepted.

The second edition of the Diego Paredes Duathlon is organized by the Coria City Council and has the collaboration of the Extremadura Triathlon Federation, the Coria Athletics Club and the Cauriense Cycling Club.
