Valencia Duathlon 2025: Last Places

El Valencia Duathlon returns on February 22, 2025 to mark the start of the season of the Mediterranean Triathlon.

The city of Turia has once again established itself as the perfect setting for any sporting discipline, adding to the recent success of the Valencia 10K which attracted athletes from all over the world.

This duathlon has become the ideal starting point for those who want to start the year with a challenge full of energy.

The route will have its main base in the Alameda promenade and its surroundings. Thus, both the transitions and the running sections will take place in emblematic areas of the city, including the old Turia riverbed and the Puente de las Flores.

Distances adapted to each level

To open the doors to the diversity of sports profiles, the Valencia Duathlon proposes various distances in format supersprint. In this way, each athlete can choose the best option according to their physical condition and experience:

  • Individual Supersprint
    • 1,5 km of foot race
    • 6 km of cycling
    • 1,5 km of foot race
  • Double supersprint
    • First block: 1,5 km running, 6 km cycling, 1,5 km running
    • Link:
    • Second block: 1,5 km running, 6 km cycling, 1,5 km running

With this format, the organization opens up the possibility of tackling the super sprint distance once or twice in a row, offering a more intense challenge to those looking to raise their level of effort.

If the first duathlon is completed and there is still energy left, the second one starts after a short liaison section that serves to reorientate and get back on track.

Couple modalities and a family format

The organization does not forget those who prefer to share the experience with family or friends.

Therefore, there is the Super sprint test for couples, a way of approaching the duathlon together, maintaining a common rhythm from the start to the finish line. Both participants must remain together throughout the course, which adds an extra layer of complicity and teamwork.

At the same time, the little ones have their space guaranteed. Family Duathlon allows boys and girls between 5 and 13 years old to participate accompanied by an adult.

There are no set times or classifications, as the main objective is to promote sports practice within the family and bring the world of duathlon closer to younger generations.

To achieve this, the organization proposes different distances depending on age:

  • Exit 1 (5-7 years): 200 m running, 500 m cycling, 150 m running
  • Exit 2 (8-10 years): 300 m running, 700 m cycling, 150 m running
  • Exit 3 (11-13 years): 400 m running, 1000 m cycling, 150 m running

With these categories, each family can choose the most suitable option, sharing a day of sport where the key is fun and learning.

The countdown to the 'sold out'

El Mediterranean Triathlon has established a limit of 600 bibs in all modalities of the Valencia Duathlon, in order to maintain safety and quality standards.

The maximum registration period is extended until Monday, February 19, 2025 at 23:59 p.m., unless the following are reached 600 dorsal available before that date, which would close registrations early.

With so many options for adults, novice athletes, couples and families, the Valencia Duathlon It promises to be a day full of sport and socialising, ideal for inaugurating the calendar of 2025.

If you haven't made up your mind yet, there are only a few weeks left to experience a day that is already a benchmark in the national duathlon.
