Duel of Titans in the Ironman World Championship 70.3

Sebastian Kienle and Craig Alexander start as favorites

 

Tomorrow, Sunday, September 7, the Ironman World Championship 70.3 where the big stars of this sport will be seen.

 

 

More than 2100 athletes will meet to cover the 1,9 km of swimming, 90 km of cycling and 21 km of running on foot, where they will have to face the high temperatures that will exceed the 45 degrees centigrade.

 

The current 70.3 World Champion  Sebastian Kienle  and the two-time distance champion 70.3 and 3 times Iroman World Champion  Craig Alexander, they start as favorites, but they will have to face each other with  Terenzo Bozzone champion in 2008, Joe Gambles  y Greg Bennet that will try to be in the first positions of the podium.

 

The Spanish Ivan Raña , who also participates in the test, will fight to be at the top of the podium. Ivan who commented to TN that this race is preparation for the Kona World Championship to be held ..

 

In addition, several IRTU stars will participate, such as Jan Frodeno, Bevan Docherty, Brent McMahon, Tim Dom, Ivan Vasiliev  among others.

 

In the female category, Like Kienle current 70.3 champion, will try to revalidate the title although it comes to suffer several injuries throughout the year. they will not make it easy Melissa Hauschildt,  Lisa Norden, Heather Wurtele ,Kelly Williamson among others.
