The best triathlon visits Valladolid on Sunday

Triathlon has an important date with Valladolid. On Sunday, August 7th, the city on the Pisuerga River will host the fourteenth edition of an event that has been gaining prestige on the national scene over the years. 350 athletes from all over Spain will compete on this course through the city center, the same one used years ago by illustrious triathletes such as Gómez Noya or Ivan Raña.
Pedro Hervás, representative of the Pisuerga Triathlon club, organizer of the event, and Alfredo Blanco, head of the Municipal Sports Foundation, attended the presentation of the test. Blanco highlighted that "for the city council it is a satisfaction in two senses: so that the city hosts the greatest number of top-level sporting events, and because the event benefits the economic activity, businesses and hospitality of Valladolid."
Circuit through the urban area
Starting at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, the bib distribution will begin, an act prior to the starting signal of a competition that will be divided into three categories. At 10:45 the women will open the day, at 11 a.m. the men will begin swimming and ten minutes later the non-federated runners will take the starting line.

In total, they will complete four laps of the urban circuit, finishing back in the transition area located opposite the beach.
The foot race will be the last phase of this test, which will decide the champion, and which will take the participants towards the heart of Valladolid on a walk that shows some of the artistic treasures that the city has. The runners will skirt the Patio Herreriano museum, pass through the Poniente and the Plaza Mayor and turn around in the square dedicated to the writer José Zorrilla; In total, five kilometers. The finish line will be located at the end of Paseo Isabel la Católica where the race will conclude. The organization will distribute 3.490 euros among all the winners.
