The City Council, together with Du Cross Series, have created the first edition of this test, which will be held on September 18. The circuit will have almost 25 kilometers divided between swimming, mountain biking and running.

The Leganés City Council, in collaboration with the Du Cross Series circuit, has created the first edition of the Leganés City Triathlon, a test that will be held in Polvoranca Park next Sunday, September 18. The cross will consist of three tests of swimming, cycling and running.

The circuit that has been designed for this test, of a popular nature, consists of a total of almost 25 kilometers. The first part, which will begin at 10:30 a.m. on that Sunday in September, involves 900 meters of swimming in the park's Mari Pascuala lagoon. This test is followed by 20 kilometers of mountain biking around the perimeter of Polvoranca. Then, four kilometers of continuous running on foot, around the lagoon, will conclude the triathlon test.

According to the Leganés Councilor for Sports, Juan Manuel Álamo, the municipal technicians have carried out health studies in the Mari Pascuala lagoon to guarantee the good state of the water when carrying out the test.

Participants must register during the week prior to the test (starting on Tuesday, September 13) through the website www.ducrosseries.es. All athletes who take part in the triathlon will be provided with supplies, accident insurance and a gift bag from the Decathlon store.

The Paidesport sports center also participates in sponsoring the event, giving participants a three-day voucher at its facilities and a diploma and a free month at its center for the winners of each competition category.
