Triathlon looks for world champion in Vitoria

The dispute of the Long Distance Triathlon World Cup on Sunday in Vitoria-Gasteiz has exhausted the hotel beds in the capital of Alava.
The Sports Councilor of the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council, Alfredo Iturricha, revealed today that all the hotels in the capital have their places reserved for the event, which will attract 1.300 athletes from 32 countries to the capital.
Among the largest expeditions, the one from the United States stands out with more than 100 athletes, followed by the delegations from Great Britain and Germany, with 80 members, and fifty from the Japanese.
Three sectors
The test will consist of a first sector of four kilometers of swimming in the Garaio reservoir, to face later 120 kilometers from bike and end with a 30 kilometer athletic event by Vitoria-Gasteiz.
Those who wish to attend the swimming sector will have free buses to the reservoir and also from 08:20 hours you can follow the development of the test in a big screen located in the Plaza de España.
In addition, you can see the spectacular nature of the triathlon with the transition that the participants will make in the Olaguíbel street when they get off the bike and put on their shoes to face the athletic section.
This last sector will consist of a seven-kilometer circuit in which they must complete four laps before reaching the Plaza de España where the finish line will be and the World Champion will be known.
