Emilio Aguayo sixth in the IRONMAN Wisconsin

Today a new edition of the IRONMAN Wisconsin has been held in the United States with many level triathletes fighting for the Slot for Kona 2023.

The test in which Emilio Aguayo, winner in 2019, has been marked by bad weather, with a lot of rain and wind.

The first to get out of the water was Brent McMahon followed by Aguayo at 4 seconds. At 50 seconds left Sven Wies and 57 Ben Hoffman. The rest of the participants came out more than 2 minutes behind the leaders.

With a very long transition, McMahon came out with more than 1 minute advantage over Aguayo, who took the opportunity to leave alone.

With adverse weather conditions, the cycling segment has been very hard.

At the halfway point McMahon was leading with 2:34 over a trio of Adam Feigh, Ben Hoffman and Cody Beals. At this point Aguayo was seventh at 10:23 behind the leader.

On arrival at T2 McMahon was still in the lead with a 7:38 lead over Cody Beals, 9:42 over Adam Feigh and 11:26 over Ben Hoffman. Aguayo was fifth at 16:50 p.m. from McMahon.

In the marathon Brent McMahon continued to increase his lead to go through km 21 with 10:29 over Beals and 17 over Feigh. Aguayo was fifth at 34:08.

Finally the victory has been for Brent McMahon with a time of 8: 36: 02 followed by Cody Beals (8: 50: 24) and for Adam feigh (9: 04: 26).

In the women's event the victory went to Chloe lane with 9:45:21 followed by Jessica smith and by Melanie McQuaid third.

The test only granted a Slot for professionals.
