Spain fourth in the mixed relays in Huatulco
Spain does not get a direct place in the Paris 2024 Mixed Relays
The Spanish mixed triathlon team finished in fourth position in the Olympic qualifier held in Huatulco, a result that leaves them out of direct qualification for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Despite their good performance, they failed to achieve the goal of securing an automatic place in the next Olympic event.
The victory went to the Norwegian team followed by the Dutch, the Hungarian and the Spanish.

Implications for the Spanish team
Although a good result in Huatulco would have secured a direct place for the mixed relays at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the Spanish team still has a solid chance of participating.
Spain meets the criterion of already having two men and two women classified in individual events, which gives them the right to compete in this mixed discipline, which will make its second appearance in the Olympic Games.
