Today the triathlon is in mourning, one of the best known and loved triathletes in the national arena, Diego Paredes, has passed away after an illness.
The 42-year-old triathlete winner of the Triathlon of Vitoria in 2015He was also a coach and was in Kona 2014 competing in age groups where he was eighth.
He also won the Buelna Triathlon and the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Triathlon in 2015. In 2016 he was second in the Pamplona Triathlon and third in the Bilbao Triathlon.
