There's a date for The Collins Cup 2021
The first edition of the Collins Cup will be held on May 22, 2021
The Professional Triathlete Organization (PTO) has announced that the new date for the Collins Cups It will be May 22, 2021.
The race, which was originally scheduled for May 29 and 30, 2020, had to be suspended due to the Covid-1 pandemic.
It will now take place on the new date of May 22, 2021, the same weekend as The Championship 2021.
Samorin (Slovakia) will be the venue, as planned and will bring together the best professional triathletes in the world in a team competition to fight to see who dominates the sport.
Following the model of the golf Ryder Cup, The Collins Cup is a ccompetition between Europe, the US and the rest of the world.
The National Teams will compete for 2 million dollars in prizes
The Collins Cup brings together the best triathletes in the world and will have the largest award in the history of sport: 2,000,000 dollars.
The 36 athletes, 18 men and 18 women, who will participate in will be paid according to their position in the PTO World Ranking
The table below shows how the prize pool will be distributed, with the same value for men and women.

Each team will consist of 12 professional triathletes, six men and six women.
Eight athletes, four men and four women, will earn their place in their respective teams through the PTO World Rankings ™ and the remaining four athletes, two men and two women, will be selected by the PTO Board members.

One athlete from each team will compete against each other in an individual race, so there will be 12 different races, with starts 10 minutes apart.
Athletes will receive points for their team based on their final position to achieve the final classification at the end of the 12 tests.
The scoring system
Each of these rounds will award some points for each selection. In addition, athletes will receive bonus points for each 2-minute stretch with which they outperform the second classified
