This coming Sunday 5 de Mayo, Madrid will once again host a continental Triathlon event, with the World Cup of Madrid.
The test has great interest due to the Olympic qualification period for the Tokyo Olympics 2020, where some of the best triathletes in the world will try to keep adding points to get the maximum possible places for their selection.
The test that will be held on sprint distance, In the Country House of Madrid, with a cycling segment with 4 very demanding climbs that will surely mark the race.
As for the favorites, Fernando Alarza y Richard Murray are those who a priori will fight for victory, although Vicente Hernández y Antonio Serrat sure they will try to be fighting for the top positions.
Other triathletes to consider are Simon Viain, Jonas Schombur ,Lasse Luhrs or Justus Nieschlag among others.
The rest of the Spaniards in the test are Roberto Sánchez Mantecón, Ignacio González y Antonio Benito.
As for the women's race, the victory will be very close. In the list of exit we found Rachel Klamer, Vendula Frintova, Angelica Olmo, Brit Coldwell , Sophie Coldwell or the Spanish Miriam Casillas, Sara Pérez Sala , Carolina Routier o Anna Godoy That sure will try to be fighting for the medals.
