Fernando Zorrilla and Helene Alberdi MD Triathlon Champions of Spain

Today the Spanish Middle Distance Triathlon Championship was held in Pamplona with a great lineup of Spanish professionals.

In the men's category, victory has been for Fernando Zorrilla followed by Antonio Benito and by Eneko Llanos which debuted this season.

The men's race had a very busy development, with the debutants in the distance Kevin Tarek Viñuela and Antonio Benito from the Cidade de Lugo Fluvial, as protagonists in the Alloz reservoir to Pamplona, ​​starting first from the Viñuela swimming segment, and alternating the leadership in cycling.

Gonzalo Fuentes Isasi, from Alusigma Peñota Dental Portugaletekoa, came back in the race to fourth place, and fifth was Emilio Aguayo, from ANB Bodegas y Viñedos Labastida Triathlon Club.

In the women's category victory has been for Helene Alberdi followed by Judith Corachán y Laura Gomez.

Helene Alberdi, from Yepa! Triatloi Kluba, signed a time of 4:15:07, being the first in the swimming segment and alternating the leadership in cycling with Judith Corachán, from the ANB Bodegas y Viñedos Labastida Triathlon Club, who would finish second with 4:17:26 and coming from being proclaimed six days before in Platja d'Aro champion of Spain of Triathlon LD.

Laura Gómez, from Saltoki Trikideak, achieved the third place on the podium with a time of 4:21:52; and Marta Sánchez, from Alusigma Peñota Dental Portugaletekoa, and Esther Rodríguez, from Alusigma Peñota Dental Portugaletekoa, from Inforhouse Santiago, completed the top five positions.
