TRITON launches 150 direct tickets to the World Finals in Portugal
The world triathlon circuit TRITON World Series announced today the opening of 150 direct places to participate in the World Finals, which will be held from 24 to 26 October 2025 in the beautiful city of Portimão, in the Algarve region, Portugal.
For those who were unable to participate in any of the 2025 qualifying events, this is a unique opportunity to join the global triathlon celebration. The decision to open these spots arose from the need to provide more options for triathletes with calendar limited.
Athletes who have already qualified, as well as those who qualify in the 2025 series races or through roll-down, will not be affected. Therefore, no one will lose their spot, and the 150 spots will be added to the list of options for this final.
It will be the day March 20, When will the registration process for these 150 places open?
TRITON, the new global triathlon series, will offer an action-packed three-day format with six simultaneous events, designed to suit all tastes and abilities.
Places in order of arrival
Registration for these 150 spots will be on a first-come, first-served basis, so those who sign up early will have the privilege of securing their participation.
Under no circumstances will the places of athletes who have already qualified or hope to qualify be jeopardized in the next events of the series throughout 2025. Once the quota is filled, registration will be permanently closed.
A perfect option to end the season
Paul Passos Leite, President and Founder of TRITON, explained the decision to open direct positions:
“TRITON recognizes that, as the first championship event in the series with relatively few qualifying races on the annual calendar, it makes it difficult for athletes wishing to compete and qualify, as they may have prior commitments to currently scheduled races.
With this measure, TRITON is giving everyone a fair opportunity to participate in the first championship event without compromising or undermining the efforts and achievements of qualified athletes.”
700 triathletes from 54 countries
To date, 700 competitors from 54 different nationalities have qualified.
In addition, new names are expected to be added after the official 2025 events. TRITON will send those who qualify through the series races an exclusive link offering special conditions for registration for the grand finale.
A great date in Portimão
Portimão is known for its beautiful beaches and welcoming atmosphere for outdoor sports.
During the Final, a truly spectacular event will unfold over three consecutive days. The event promises to become an international benchmark for triathletes of all kinds, from the most experienced to those looking to experience the adrenaline rush of a high-level competition for the first time.
For all these reasons, we must not lose sight of the key date: March 20 2025.
