Francesc Godoy and Melina Alonso Spanish Sprint Triathlon Champions

This Sunday, early in the afternoon, the Sprint Triathlon Spain Championship which has been held in Altafulla throughout the weekend.

Today the tests corresponding to the elite category were disputed where the male category has been imposed Francesc Godoy followed by  Irving Adrián Pérez in second and Luís Miguel Sánchez in third place on the podium

The first places in the feminine modality have been for Melina Alonso in first position, Marta Jiménez in second and María Ortega third.

Categories CadetBy age groups and Paralympic triathlon They competed on Saturday afternoon. One of the most emotional moments of the first day, precisely, lived with this last category, which did not stop receiving cries of encouragement from the public.

1.200 triathletes who have met in Altafulla in the framework of this new edition of the Spain Championship, at the end that they have valued the sports event very positively.

In fact, the winner of the elite category in men, Francisco Godoy, said that "the organization has been exceptional, there were many people in the audience and we all had a great time". Godoy also added that some sections of the cycling circuit "were almost like the Tour de France, with ramps full of bicycle enthusiasts."
