The Galician finishes third behind the Brownlee brothers in a test to prepare the World Cup in Madrid.
Javier Gómez Noya, world champion in 2010, was third in the Nice Sprint Triathlon, first round of the French Grand Prix, after the British Alistair and Jonathan Brownlee.
The Ferrolan triathlete, who took this competition over 750 meters of swimming, 20 kilometers of cycling and 5 of running, in preparation for the next appointment of the World Cup in Madrid, gave in for just a second in an exciting final with the Brownlee brothers.
The three offered a great final in which Alistair prevailed with a second advantage over Jonathan and Gómez Noya, while the Frenchman Vincent Luis was fourth to 4 seconds.
In the women's category, the victory corresponded to the Chilean Bárbara Riveros, with two seconds of advantage over the New Zealand Andrea Hewitt and four with respect to the French Emmie Charayron.
