The Galician finishes third behind the Brownlee brothers in a test to prepare the World Cup in Madrid.
Javier Gómez Noya, world champion in 2010, was third in the Nice sprint triathlon, the first round of the French Grand Prix, after the British Alistair and Jonathan Brownlee.
The Ferrol triathlete, who took this competition over 750 meters of swimming, 20 kilometers of cycling and 5 kilometers of running, as preparation for the next World Cup event in Madrid, gave up by just one second in an exciting final with the Brownlee brothers.
The three offered a great finish in which Alistair prevailed with a second ahead of Jonathan and Gómez Noya, while the Frenchman Vincent Luis was fourth, 4 seconds behind.
In the women's category, the victory corresponded to the Chilean Bárbara Riveros, with a two second advantage over the New Zealander Andrea Hewitt and four over the French Emmie Charayron.
