The legendary Pálmaces triathlon celebrates its silver wedding anniversary and reaches its XXV edition

As every year, the Castilian-La Mancha test presents an exit list with some of the best triathletes in Spain.

This coming Saturday 28 in July will celebrate the XXV edition of Triathlon of Pálmaces, in the small town of Pálmaces de Jadraque (Guadalajara) of only 40 inhabitants (INE 2017) with its classic format of 1.800 m of swimming, 60 km of cycling and 12 km of running.

As always with a luxury poster, it could be said that it is like a "Spanish distance championship Pálmaces"... or a"World Distance Pálmaces" The organization has increased the cash prizes for this edition, with 1.000 € for the winners and almost 5.000 € in total in prizes.

XXV Palmaces Triathlon

Swimming takes place in the reservoir of Pálmaces de Jadraque and consists of a triangle of 1800 meters that is given a single turn. He Cycling consists of a 60 kilometers travel that goes from the boxes in the T1, in the place where the swimming takes place, and a round trip to Atienza, ending in the town square of Pálmaces, where the T2 is located. In the male category, the main favorites are Gustavo Rodríguez and Miguel Ángel Fidalgo, last two winners. Other great triathletes aspiring to the podium as the international Ramon Ejeda, Pakillo Fernandéz-Cortés, Victoria Raso, Diego Paredes, Ariel Hernández, José Almagro, David Castro and Luis Miguel Velasquez. We must also mention the participation of the multiple duathlon world medalist Emilio Martín, who will continue in Pálmaces his way to the 70.3 of Cascais.

For its part in the female category participation will not be as numerous as in other editions, but a duel is expected to three between three champions of Spain: María Pujol, Paula García Godino y Laura Gomez
