Gustavo Rodríguez and Katja Koschack are imposed at the ICAN Málaga 2013

The Spanish runner (Wild Wold Cidade de Lugo Fluvial) completed the tour of the HALF ICAN Málaga 2013, consisting of 1,9 km of swimming, 90 of cycling, and 21 of running, with a time of 3 hours, 56 minutes and 49 seconds.

A victory that he achieved with little margin, Miquel Blanchart (CN Sabadell) crossed the finish line 8 seconds later, signing a time of 3 hours, 56 minutes and 57 seconds. For its part, the British Joe Skipper (Starley Bikes) completed the podium with a record of 3 hours, 59 minutes and 43 seconds.

As for the female category, the great winner was Katja Konschak (SV Nordhausen 90), a great connoisseur of the ICAN tests, who already won in Marbella at 2012. The German crossed the finish line with a time of 4 hours, 25 minutes and 48 seconds, despite not being able to train normally due to the cold of winter in her country. Shortly after, the Finnish Tiina Boman (Joroisten Sporttiklubi) stopped the clock in 4 hours 27 minutes and 27 seconds, a time that earned him to finish in second place. Third, the Spanish Natalia Raña, (CT Devils of Rivas), who signed a time of 4 hours, 44 minutes and 39 seconds.

A race in which the mayor of the capital of the Costa del Sol, Francisco de la Torre Prados kicked off at the swimming circuit, and did not want to lose different personalities from Malaga, such as the First Deputy Mayor and Alderman Delegate of Culture, Tourism and Sports, Damián Caneda.

The Andalusian event was marked by sunny weather and a magnificent reception by the city of Malaga, which turned out to be a perfect host for an ICAN test that had representation of up to 25 countries. All this favored the great atmosphere that existed from the first hour of the morning and that the near 800 registered triathletes, their companions, public and tourists will complete a sports weekend of authentic luxury.
