Gwen Jorgensen to compete in marathon again

In a video posted on her YouTube channel, the winner of the Rio 2016 Games Gwen Jorgensen has commented that will run marathon distance again,  He will leave his current club (Bowerman Track) and will return to train with Bobby McGee, his coach when he was a triathlete.

She has been an Olympian twice, 2th in London and gold in Rio.

In the video Gewn commented:

"I have been working with Bobby since 2010 or 2011, he helped me with my race specific training throughout the triathlon.

He is also a sports psychologist, and I have been working this with him in addition to some exercises while working with Jerry (Schumacher). Bobby knows me very well and I know him very well and I am very excited about that effort ".

She focused on athletics after having her son

After giving birth to her son Stanley in 2017, Jorgensen announced that she would switch from triathlon to athletics and try to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics in that discipline.

He tried it in a marathon and later on shorter distances on the track (5.000 and 10.000) and did not succeed.

His goal to compete in a marathon again this year

The North American has confirmed that she has in mind to compete in a marathon at End of the year.

We will be attentive to know the test you will choose to return to that distance.
