Half Madrid, the benchmark medium-distance Triathlon in the capital
The Spanish capital is preparing to host one of the most important events in national and international triathlon: the Half Madrid, which will be held next June 16th, 2024.
This test, which has already become a benchmark in the middle distance, will bring together hundreds of athletes willing to test their endurance and enjoy a unique tour of the most emblematic places in the city.
An event for all levels
The Half Madrid offers two distances so that all triathletes can find their challenge: the Half WITHOUT DRAFTING and STANDARD WITH DRAFTING.
The latter, furthermore, will be the HALF MADRID Standard Madrid Championship.
The Half distance WITHOUT DRAFTING It consists of 1.800 meters of swimming in the Casa de Campo Lake, 83 kilometers of cycling in a single lap and 18,6 kilometers of running on foot around the lake, passing through the Huerta de la Partida, Madrid Río and finishing the goal next to the transition zone.
STANDARD DISTANCE WITH DRAFTING, for its part, has a course of 1.500 meters of swimming, 40 kilometers of cycling and 10 kilometers of running, in the same scenarios as the Half test.
A unique tour of Madrid
The Half Madrid is characterized by its spectacular route, which allows participants to enjoy the most emblematic places of our capital.
Swimming takes place in Casa de Campo Lake, an incomparable natural environment.
Cycling is one lap on a closed and safe circuit that reaches the vicinity of the Villaviciosa de Odón campus with 320 meters of elevation gain and that will make you enjoy some of the places in the Community of Madrid.
The foot race takes place around Lake Casa de Campo, offering impressive views of the city.
