Tribute to the triathlete Iván Raña in 100 × 100 Ciempozuelos swimming

This week the 3rd edition of 100 × 100 swimming took place in Ciempozuelos where the Marlins Triathlon Club managed to win in both categories. As organizer Juanjo Anaya, one of the pioneers of triathlon in Spain, and historian of our triathlon, fulfilled one of his dreams for which he had been working for several years: a historic participation in the 100 × 100 relay swimming competition in that town.

In the first place, a tribute was paid to the brand new Iván Raña, one of the best triathletes in history, for his excellent sports career. For this tribute, Juanjo Anaya brought together many of the historical figures of the 80s and early 90s. A total of thirty men and a few women from that time were present at the event, including Paco Godoy and Ramón Ricoy, among other triathletes. representative. All of them were integrated into the historical teams, and faced each other and other teams of the new batch.

 
After the test, Ivan Raña made these statements to the press "I have not felt more at ease in my life, what atmosphere, I traveled all the morning by car from Galicia, to be here with these people who did a lot for the triathlon in Spain I could not miss this important event, this is my environment and this is my people. Thanks Juanjo for inviting me, count on me for whatever you want. "

 
 For this appointment Juanjo, organizer of the event, counted on the help of Gabriela Valiente Ots and all her members of the Triatlonciem club, collaborators and friends, attending the appointment many companions and other triathletes who participated as a public being a resounding success as in the previous editions. Another invaluable help that the organizer counted on was Antonio Alix, who took care of locating many of the participating triathletes as well as Carlos Santamaría and Eduardo Arenal who, with their Sports Solutions store, helped economically make the event a reality.

 
Once the event is over and more than 24 hours have passed, congratulations continue to arrive from all the teams and especially from the former triathletes, which confirms the resounding success of this third edition. "Thank you very much Juanjo, what we have experienced in these two hours of glory has been so special that we have once again felt the triathlon as if we were in those times"
