Today the Swedish LD Duathlon is celebrated

Today Saturday is celebrated Swedish DLD, medium distance test in which a first race segment of 10 km will be covered, to later continue with 80 km of bike and finish with an intense 20 km of race in which the winner will be decided.

The cycling circuit is very hard, as it crosses the rice fields, on flat terrain but where the wind blows with intensity, which breaks the rhythm of the participants. In addition, this test is part of the circuit No Drafting Series, which complicates the cycling segment in which the triathletes must demonstrate their ability to win independently, without being able to count on team work.

As for the race segment, it runs around the perimeter of the sports center in a round of 5 km that will be performed 2 times in the first segment and 4 in the final segment.

The duathlon will start at 11 hours in the La Creu area, next to the indoor pool in Sueca.

As favorites, the recently won regional champion Rubén Galvañ, that will have to be beat with Carlos Aznar, winner of the test several times.

As for the females, Maxine McKinnon will face Miriam Alvarez y Raquel Juan for a place on the podium, which in this edition promises to be contested.
