The other candidacy was very powerful but we are very satisfied that once a world-class event is held in our country and that our triathletes can once again enjoy the best multi-sport event that can be hosted at the moment without leaving home.
We have based our candidacy on several points. The first is our experience, our solvency, and our country's commitment to organizing major ITU events. The second, which was also very important to us, was that we presented a solid sports project and a solid world-class social and tourism project with Ibiza, which is a worldwide icon. And finally, highlight the seamless support in a very solid FETRI candidacy with the Ibiza government, which has also been very important".
For her part, Marisol Casado, ITU President and IOC member stressed that «The Multisport World Championship has been incredibly successful in recent years since we launched this concept, and we have seen not only great interest from cities to bid to host this event, but also by athletes willing to compete.
