ICAN Triathlon 2024: The big season-ending event is about to close registrations.

The next October 19, Gandia will host the 11th edition of the ICAN Triathlon, one of the most anticipated events in the calendar triathlete of the Valencian Community.
With 3 days to go until registration closes, more than 1.150 participants have confirmed their place, consolidating this test as one of the great season finales for more than 1.000 triathletes.
Last days to register
Registrations will be open until next October 8 at 23:59 a.m., and the organization has already announced that this year a high international participation is expected. Triathletes from 16 countries will be present, increasing foreign representation to 8%, a figure that continues to grow year after year.
In addition, the category Shorts, with a limit of 500 places, has already reached the 86% of its capacity, which anticipates a full house in the coming days.
Gandía: the perfect setting for an unforgettable triathlon
With its warm climate and spectacular setting on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, Gandia It has established itself as one of the preferred destinations for sporting events.
The city offers a flat and fast course, ideal for participants to improve their personal times in any of the three available distances: Full, Half, and Shorts.
The cycling route covers towns such as Tavernes de la Valldigna, Cullera, Xeraco and Xeresa, and the running race takes place along Gandia's iconic seafront promenade, where the triathletes will be surrounded by the warmth of the public and their loved ones.
Notable names on the starting list
This year, the test has captured the attention of numerous professional triathletes, motivated not only by the speed of the circuit, but also by the increase in prize money.
Among the most outstanding athletes, we can mention Nacho Villarruel, who returns after being absent from the last edition with the intention of repeating his triumph of 2022.
Next to him, names like ander noain y Pilar Arias, winners of the category Half In 2023, they return ready to defend their title.
Other confirmed triathletes include Yaiza Saiz, Stefie LeBénézic, Emmanuel lejeune, Hannes Butters, and Martha Bourbon, who will make his middle distance debut at ICAN Triathlon.
Institutional support and collaborations
El ICAN Triathlon It has the support of various institutions, such as the Gandia Town Hall, its Sports Department and the Tourism Department, as well as the support of the Valencian generalitat and Provincial Council of Valencia. In addition, the event receives the support of the town councils of the towns through which the cycling route passes, such as Tavernes de la Valldigna, Cullera, Xeraco y Xeresa.
On the other hand, important brands such as Nutrisport, Run&Pro, and the Sports division of transvia, responsible for accommodation management, also collaborate in the organization of the event.
Furthermore, the Polytechnic University of Gandia will be the setting for the awards ceremony in its Aula Magna.
