ICAN Triathlon 2025: The big news for the next edition

El ICAN Triathlon 2025 It comes loaded with new features, including improvements in prizes, new start categories and the incorporation of an early start, aimed at long and medium distance triathletes.

With improvements in the modalities, an increase in prizes and changes in the starts, the next 18th October 2025 an even more complete and competitive event will be experienced at ICAN.

Registration will open this Thursday November 14 at 17:00 p.m. for the Full and Half distances, while the modalities of Aquabike (MD and LD) and the distance Shorts Registration will be open from May 22.

Below, we tell you about the main new features that will mark this 14th edition of the ICAN Triathlon.

Increase in prizes in Medium Distance

One of the most important announcements is the increase in prize money for the Half Distance category.

Following the line established in the last edition for the Full distance, in 2025 it will be They will double the prizes in the Middle Distance. In total, they will be distributed 10.500 euros in cash between both modalities, with the following distribution:

  • Full distance: €2.000 for the first, €1.000 for the second, and €500 for the third.
  • Half distance: €1.000 for the winner, €500 for second place and €250 for third place.

The awards will be given for both the male and female categories, highlighting the importance of gender equality in sport, something in which the ICAN Triathlon has been a pioneer.

PRO start for Full and Half Distance

The 2025 edition will also feature the PRO FULL & HALF OUTLET, aimed at elite triathletes and those looking to compete against the best on the circuit.

This departure will be especially attractive, as the participation of big names that already shone in 2024 is expected, such as Roger Manya, Steffie Le Bénézic, Nacho Villarruel, Carlos Aznar y Patricia Bueno, among others.

The criteria for participating in this outing include: MD/LD FETRI Ranking, Non-Drafting TRICV Ranking, as well as the Top 10 positions from the last edition.

In addition, there will be 15 additional places for national and international triathletes selected by the technical direction of ICAN, along with two places for the first ten clubs classified in the 1st division of the Caixa Popular TRICV Club League.

Early departure for Full and Aquabike LD

To ensure the comfort and safety of participants over the long distance, ICAN Triathlon has decided to incorporate a EARLY FULL & AQUABIKE LD OUTPUT. This departure, scheduled for 08: 00 pm, seeks to provide an optimal environment for triathletes who wish to take on the challenge of a 1800m swim, 180km bike ride and 42km run.

This start will be automatically open to female participants who do not request to be in the PRO Start and to men over 18 years of age. 60 years.

Those under 60 who wish to participate may request it from the organization, but must forego the corresponding podiums and trophies.
